The Superiors of CMC St. Joseph's Province Thalassery were powerful instruments in preparing the sisters for the service of the church and the people despite of its financial difficulties. Since the province had not so developed institutions of our own, the sisters tried their level best to uplift the people of the parish by different activities. It is well developing through the way of our charism through different fields such as Faith Formation, Education, Healing Ministry and Social Work.
In the field of faith formation, home-mission is done in almost all the parishes. Through Christeen retreats, Counselling in schools, marriage guidance courses, counselling centres, seminars and life guidance programmes this Province is pacing towards the dream of our founders. Catechetical classes, Charismatic zonal leaderships, pilgrimage, distribution of prayers, spiritual books etc. St. Josephs Province is enlightening many people. The sisters efforts for uniting the people as one family through constant family visits and also to maintain a close relationship with the parishioners and conducting prayer meetings are praise worthy. The sisters happily work as the members of the Diocesan Team as well as in the parish, especially in the field of Vocation bureau, Youth movement and teachers orientation classes.
In the field of education it is doing through Educational institutions such as Nursery schools, Aided Schools, English Medium schools and Special schools. Along with Sanjos English Medium School Taliparamba Learning disability Clinic is working to help the students to recover from learning disability problems. Teachers are also trained by ALDI.
To take part in Jesus mission of healing there are Homoeo Doctors and Nurses. An Institution of Speech and Hearing is working actively. In the time of Epidemics Mobile Clinic service is provided in the villages.
As a part of Social work, Schools for Mentally challenged Children, Orphanages, Home for street Children, Old Age Home etc. are working for the society and uplift of many people.
